On Oct5th, 2019, International Support for Uyghurs organized a seminar to Azerbaijan Community in Montreal, in which around 40 people attended. In this seminar, Dr. Raziye Mahmut, a scientist, from Ottawa give the presentation about East Turkistan's current dire situation. She also highlight the issue of the infamous concentration camps (called ‘‘re-education camps’’ by the CCP) that have been holding up to three million Uyghurs and other Muslims. At the end of the presentation, all the audience enjoy the Uyghur foods. Moreover, it was a unforgettable day both for Uyghurs and Azebaijianis because this was the day, a friendship between two communities were established.
