We had the pleasure to organize this Saturday of December 11th, a fundraising in order to support a Uyghur family living in Turkey. During this event, we had the chance to welcome exceptional guests.

The online meeting started with a presentation done by a member of the organization, about the Genocide of Uyghurs implementing by China, as well as a retrospective with key dates of the life conditions and repression that the people of East Turkistan are facing in China. Then, poems about uyghurs were have been read by volunteers in French and English.

After that, two members of the Canadian parliament intervened in order to discuss about the issue, specially from a political view point. First, Mr.Garnett Genius spoke, and then was followed by MR. Sameer Zuberi. Finally the activist Bilal Malik gives intervention on the topic. Mr. Malik has led many actions, particularly in Canada, to raise awareness of the Uyghur people's cause. To close the event, a song inciting the mobilization of the population against the Uyghur genocide was played (Wake up).

The main purpose of this event was to make an appeal for donations but also to learn more about the current situation of the people of East Turkistan in China and to raise the awareness of all the people present at the meeting.
