The 15th anniversary of the Urumchi Massacre

  • International Support for Uyghurs Montreal, QC, Canada (map)

Join us for a protest march to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Urumchi Massacre on Saturday, July 6th, 2024, from 4 pm to 6 pm. The protest will start at Dorchester Square and end at Place des Arts.

The Urumchi Massacre on July 5th, 2009, was a tragic event where peaceful Uyghur student protesters were met with brutal violence, highlighting the severe human rights violations they face. To this day, the genocide has not ended and has continued to worsen over the years.

We're raising awareness about the ongoing oppression against the Uyghur community and demanding justice for the victims. Stand with us in solidarity to call for an end to the genocide and oppression.

Let's amplify our voices for a future where Uyghur rights are respected and protected.
