China’s Foreign Minister urged the Biden administration to restart engagement with China
According to Xinhua news agency report, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi is trying to deceive the incoming Biden administration, saying a “new window of hope” is opening. He urged the Biden administration to adopt a sensible approach and restart engagement with China to get bilateral ties back on track despite the unsolvable ideological friction of Chinese communism, and liberalism between two countries. Rukiye Turdush, a researcher at Uyghur Research Institute commented on Wangyi's expectation: “The world has already clearly saw how China victimized Uyghurs and other Turkic Muslims for their new silk road project by implementing a genocidal policy against them. Their strategic ambition of global hegemony did it. Now China is expecting engagement to hide its strategic ambition to fool the world. I cannot believe it. How could this world ensure human security and world peace when they feel free to engage with the country that committed a crime against humanity and genocide? How could we protect democracy, if the governments in this world still do not want to take any action, even if they know very well that China will never give up their dream of establishing Chinese ideological superiority.” While the Biden administration might change their stance on China, we must not forget their horrifying crimes. It is vital for strong democracies in the West to stand tall, and call out Beijing on its human rights abuses. New US president cannot erase the crimes China has committed until now.

Selon l’agence de presse Xin Hua, le ministre chinois des Affaires étrangères Wang Yi tente de tromper l’administration entrante de Biden, disant qu’une « nouvelle fenêtre d’espoir » s’ouvre. Leur ambition stratégique d'hégémonie mondiale l'a fait. La Chine s'attend maintenant à ce que son engagement cache son ambition stratégique de tromper le monde. Je ne peux pas le croire. Comment ce monde pourrait-il assurer la sécurité humaine et la paix mondiale alors qu'ils se sentent libres de s'engager avec le pays qui a commis des crimes contre l'humanité et le génocide? Comment pourrions-nous sauver la démocratie, si les gouvernements de ce monde ne veulent toujours rien faire, même s'ils savent très bien que la Chine n'abandonnera jamais leur rêve d'établir une supériorité idéologique caractéristique de la Chine? » (Traduction libre).
