U.S Congressional Executive Commission Report
The U.S. Congressional Executive Commission on China published a report on Thursday, considering the evidence of China’s crimes in East Turkistan and said China is possibly carrying out a genocide against the Uyghurs and other Turkic Muslims. The report called for a formal "determination on whether genocide is being committed by China in the region" by the U.S. Two weeks ago, Michael Sobolik, whose work was covering on the American and Chinese grand strategy in the American Foreign Policy Council, also called the Trump administration to formally recognize China’s genocide. The Chinese government keeps denying the genocide, but the Chinese embassy accidentally admitted it just few days ago by tweeting that they prevented Uyghur women from becoming "baby-making machines”. The report urged members of the U.S. Congress and Administration officials to call on the Chinese government to end mass arbitrary detention, immediately cease all coercive “homestay programs” and all programs involving forced labour, and cease all placement of children in orphanages, welfare centres, and boarding schools without the consent of a parent or guardian. The report also urged members of the Congress to highlight the religious freedom aspect of human rights abuses in the region as part of a concerted public diplomacy campaign to enlist broader condemnation of China’s treatment of Muslim ethnic minorities.

La Commission exécutive du Congrès américain sur la Chine a publié un rapport jeudi, examinant les preuves des crimes du gouvernement chinois au Turkestan oriental et a déclaré que la Chine commet fort probablement un génocide contre les Ouïghours et autres musulmans turcophones. Le rapport appelle à une « détermination formelle » par les États-Unis si la Chine est en train de commettre un génocide. Il y a deux semaines, Michael Sobolik, dont le travail couvrait la grande stratégie américaine et chinoise au sein du Conseil américain de la politique étrangère, a également appelé l'administration Trump à reconnaître officiellement le génocide de la Chine. Le gouvernement chinois continue de le nier, mais l'ambassade de Chine l'a accidentellement admis il y a quelques jours à peine en tweetant sur Twitter que la Chine empêchait les femmes ouïghoures de devenir des (je cite en traduction libre) « machines à fabriquer des bébés ». Le rapport pousse les membres du Congrès américain et les responsables de l'administration à appeler le gouvernement chinois à mettre fin aux détentions arbitraires de masse, cesser immédiatement tous les « programmes de famille d'accueil » coercitifs et tous les programmes impliquant le travail forcé, ainsi que cesser tout placement d'enfants dans des orphelinats, des centres de protection sociale et des internats sans le consentement d'un parent ou d'un tuteur. Le rapport incite aussi les membres du Congrès à souligner l'aspect de la liberté religieuse dans les violations des droits humains au Turkistan oriental dans le cadre d'une campagne concertée de diplomatie publique pour obtenir une condamnation plus large du traitement des minorités ethniques musulmanes par la Chine.
