UK Public Tribunal to Probe Uyghur Genocide Allegations

By 2021, an independent Uyghur tribunal will be held in London, United Kingdom. The highly acclaimed British lawyer and prosecutor, Barrister Geoffrey Nice, has been asked by the World Uyghur Congress to investigate whether the Chinese government’s human rights abuses against Uyghurs in East Turkistan constitutes genocide. The tribunal is currently at the evidence gathering stage and two exceptionally strong points from this evidence is the mass incarceration of Uyghurs and the forced sterilization of Uyghur women, and it will be determined whether this breaches the UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide

Based on the above information, we will ask the Canadian government to also investigate the human rights abuses of Uyghurs and confront on the Chinese government for the mass atrocities occurring, resulting in genocide.
